Hair/Groom Artist

Lakshya is looking for Hair/ Groom Artists who can work within Character Art asset creation for all the global titles with a specialized skills focused on creation of Hair, Fur, Feathers & Groom assets.

Requirements

Skills Required:

• A comprehensive Character portfolio showcasing 3D character art to a very high standard, with a distinct ability in the portraying of Hair & Fur creation.
• Experienced with Maya, 3DS MAX, Zbrush and Photoshop.
• Good understanding of 3D art production pipeline, shaders, popular plugins and at least one popular game engine.
• Ability to create relevant form, structure and silhouette for character hairstyles using card based and real time approaches.
• Ability to adapt and provide results forward as pipelines evolve for Hair & Fur.
• Extensive experience using XGen Grooming Tools. ( FiberShop & Ornatrix would be plus skill)
• Has good eye for details in creating digital grooms to specified concept and references.
• Self-motivated and flexible, with excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of Photoshop OR Mari for Fur maps creation
• Good troubleshooting skills required for self-solving workflow related technical issues.

Responsibilities :

• Work within Character Art asset creation for all our global titles with a specialized skills focused on creation of Hair, Fur, Feathers & Groom assets.
• Place guide-hairs/feathers and groom as art-directed.
• Paint textures to drive groom aesthetics.
• Experience meeting deadlines while retaining a high quality of work.
• Ability to break down reference images as per workflow requirements.
• To work in a team, with strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Knowledge Required:

• BFA / MFA Knowledge of traditional arts.
• A Good portfolio comprising a display of Hair and Fur Assets
